This does not mean that every device using 192.168.31.1 is necessarily a Xiaomi router. The address is private and reusable, and administrators can also change a router's LAN address after setup.

On supported Xiaomi routers, miwifi.com and 192.168.31.1 can lead to the local router setup or management interface. Xiaomi documents both methods for multiple current router and mesh products.

The hostname is convenient because users do not need to remember the numeric IP address. However, both methods still depend on being connected to the appropriate local router network.

If neither address works, verify the network connection and current gateway rather than assuming the browser itself is the problem.

How to confirm that 192.168.31.1 is your router

If you are unsure whether 192.168.31.1 belongs to the main router, compare it with the Default Gateway or Router value reported by your current connection.

Windows

Open Command Prompt and run ipconfig. Find the active Wi-Fi or Ethernet adapter and look for the value next to Default Gateway.

macOS
