Magic r9500 provides a useful documented baseline

The ADDON Magic r9500 manual documents 192.168.1.1 as the default LAN address and admin/admin as the default web credentials. That is model-specific evidence, not a reason to assume every ADDON product uses the same defaults. If your label shows a different model, verify its manual first.

ADDON hardware can be more than a simple Wi-Fi router

The product range includes powerline wireless devices and ADSL-oriented equipment as well as conventional routers. A unit used as an access point or powerline extension may not be the network's Default Gateway. In that case, locate its address through the primary router's client list rather than trying 192.168.1.1 repeatedly.

Understand the Internet connection mode before editing it

Documented ADDON routers expose common WAN modes such as dynamic IP, static IP and PPPoE. If the Internet already works, record the existing WAN configuration before running a setup wizard. A wizard can overwrite a working PPPoE or static configuration even though the original problem was only an admin-password or Wi-Fi issue.

Use backup and restore before major changes

Some ADDON manuals include configuration backup and restoration features. Use them when available. On older hardware, a local backup is particularly valuable because cloud recovery and current vendor support may not exist.

Reset behavior is model-specific

The Magic r9500 manual describes a physical reset procedure that restores factory settings. Other ADDON devices can use different timing or behavior. Treat the exact manual as authoritative. After reset, reconnect with the documented default subnet and expect to reconfigure Internet and wireless settings.
